We're Hard At Work

Overheard at a recent staff meeting in Sonic Blue HQ:

Dashfox1 says: TCM, attack Nuckles with your tablet jutsu!
Nuckles87 says: No!
Dashfox1 says: YES!
Nuckles87: (slaps TCM with a ruler) Quiet!

...

I was kinda busy, updating the site and all, so I didn't notice that I was being slapped by a ruler or ordered to bust out the tablet jutsus, and that's why there's new content for today instead of, say, Nuckles87 stuck in a coma at the end of some dark alley (those tablet jutsus can be a real bitch sometimes).

S3K, that comic I started about a month ago and forgot about until Justin and Dashfox showed me this kickass collaboration page they had done for it, has been updated. Hopefully we can continue with a steady chain of releases, instead of the whole one page per month deal we were trying to pull off earlier. Will we make it? Or are we gonna fail? I guess you'll just hafta kick back and enjoy the show while you wait to see what happens.

More Updates Ahead

Whatup, Sonic Blue! After the Festivus (for the rest of us) that was SonicPKM, more updates are hitting the site, since I've finally gotten off my lazy ass and started cutting into the work that's been in front of me for pretty much a month now. :P

This week, you have to look forward to:

-Sonic RUSH #1, in all its embarassing 2003 artwork glory. This was a pretty big comic back in the day, so check it out if you missed the party the first time, or if you just wanna have a reason to point and laugh at me for drawing it, whichever one works out. I'm gonna follow up in the near future with a full-fledged Sonic RUSH mini site that'll have all the old stuff: story info, character profiles, etc. So stick around, and check out the world of SegaSonic in comic form.

-New staff members: SilverenX and Sunset Fox! Welcome 'em aboard, as you'll be seeing their work on the site shortly. Both of them are extremely talented and I'm sure you're all gonna enjoy what they have to bring to the table this summer.

Coming Soon:

-Chapter 11 of SonicPKM: Yeah, it's late, and it's kinda my fault, but I'll be getting it out the door shortly. Keep checkin' back for more details on it.

-S3K #002: This one's definitely way overdue, considering the last page of this comic came out about a month ago. I'll be getting on that too this week, so again, check back for updates.

The Final Countdown

It was a dark and stormy night at Sonic Blue HQ. In the early morning hours of June 23, 2006, four men were putting the finishing touches on the collective work of countless talented fans. The melody of the classic rock song resounded throughout the room as the finishing touches were put a project that had spent over a year in development. A project that supercharged its way through the Spring for a release on none other than Sonic the Hedgehog's anticipated 15th anniversary. A project that would officially relaunch Sonic Blue in all its past glory. A project that realigned old ties and formed new ones, eventually spawning a 50+ page artist extravaganza featuring the likes of Metara, TcmSonic, Dashfox, Silveren X, and many more.

Ladies and gentleman, Sonic Blue is proud to present Sonic PKM, the latest addition to its library. But as you'll soon find out, the work of Nuckles87 is much more than just another fan comic. It's the product of an ambitious goal, an inspiring vision, and the drive to turn them into realities by fans just like yourselves. As you read through the pages of all ten chapters in the comic's premier issue, you'll be taking in more than just an intriguing story and impressive artwork--you'll be enjoying the rewards of a job well done, from which dozens of artists, writers, site designers, and miscellaneous helpers can now sit back and catch their collective breaths.

On behalf of all the workers who had a hand in this project, I'd like to thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoy the issue. Because as I type this at 10 to 5 AM after a long night of work with three other guys, I'm speaking for everyone else who contributed to this project during its long journey to where it is now: completion, and ultimately, success.

SonicPKM

If you've been around the forum or just following the Sonic Blue production process for the past few weeks, you'll know that we've got some heavy involvement in a project by a dude named Nuckles87 called SonicPKM. Set for a release on June 23, the 15th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, the comic will launch it's very first issue featuring over 40 pages handled by an all star team of Sonic Blue's artists and then some. Not only that, but it's jam packed with eleven chapters that spent over a year in development, allowing Nuckles87 to flex his writing muscles and give us what'll be the beginning of an epic story that's sure to blow you away and present to you the Sonic X and Pokemon universes like you've never seen them before.

Check it out in the previews section at the right, and check back again on June 23 for the first issue's release!

Content's on the way

Nah, I haven't disappeared yet. I'm just checking in to let everyone know new content's on the way for the site: Sonic RUSH will most likely be up this weekend, depending on how long my lazy ass can stand to be in front of the computer re-editing the text balloons and trying to remember what the hell I had in mind all those times I ad-libbed dialogue back in... uhh, what was it? Two thousand three? Yikes, this is gonna be harder than I thought. XD Sonic PKM, the comic brought to you by Nuckles87 featuring work from like twenty million different, extremely talented artists including Metara, Dashfox, SilverenX and me, is gonna have a preview over there on the sidebar so that everyone can see the earthquake that's gonna shake up this site on June 23. I'm also finally gonna update S3K, with a new page from the Justin/Dashfox tag team combo. You can take a look at it in the forum; I gotta say that I'm beyond impressed with the work they put into it and needless to say, I can't wait 'til this comic really kicks off so I can see more. :)

So yeah, that's pretty much it. Keep coming back to see new stuff and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GO TO THE FORUM AND REPLY TO MY WORLD CUP TOPIC. IT ONLY COMES EVERY FOUR F*CKING YEARS, GET PSYCHED.
